What if I can’t afford the costs?

What qualifications do you offer?
  • Level 2 Certificate in Planning and Delivering in Gym Based Exercise
  • Level 3 Certificate in Planning and Delivering Personal Training
  • Level 4 Certificate in Strength & Conditioning
  • Level 3 Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity
  • Level 3 Diploma* Practitioner in Personal Training (*L2 & L3 Certificates Combined)
What are the entry requirements?

For Level 2 there are no formal entry requirements, however some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended. The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential; therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary. There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learner should have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 2. Entry Requirements for Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training is a Level 2 qualification in Gym Instructing. Entry Requirements for Level 4 Certificate in Strength and Conditioning are:

  • Learners must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training (or equivalent), a Level 3 Coaching qualification (or equivalent) or a Level 3 Strength and conditioning qualification (or equivalent).
  • Learners may also hold relevant higher education or further education qualifications that are equivalent or higher than those listed above (e.g. physiotherapy, sports therapy).
  • There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at Level 3.
Where will my qualification lead me?
Your qualification will enable you work within a gym environment or work as a self-employed Personal Trainer. The qualifications allow access to REPS. REPs (The Register for Exercise Professionals) is an independent organisation that recognises the qualifications and expertise of the UK’s exercise instructors. REPs provide assurance and confidence to the public and employers that all professionals on the Register are appropriately qualified and have the knowledge, competence and skills to perform their role.
What if I am already qualified as a level 2 gym instructor?

If you are already qualified as a Level 2 Gym Instructor, you are not required to re-sit this part of the course. You can enrol straight onto the Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.

Where do the qualifications take place?

We have a variety of state-of-the-art gyms across the UK that are used for our classes, lectures, seminars and assessment days.

  • Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing – £495
  • Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training – £ 995

  • Level 3 Diploma Practitioner in Personal Training – £1495
  • Level 4 Certificate in Strength & Conditioning – £1195

What's the difference between the Level 3 Personal Training Certificate and the Level 3 Diploma Practitioner in Personal Training?

The Diploma Practitioner is both the Fitness Instructing Level 2 and Personal training Level 3 Certificate qualifications combined. If you already have the Level 2 you can enrol straight on to the Level 3 qualification.
